Open-source gives us the flexibility to extend, fine-tune and combine existing components with our own software. CloudFerro firmly believes in the open-source business model and we are active committers to the upstream open-source projects we use.

We are carefully selecting and assembling the best components to create modern, high-performance cloud infrastructures – datacenters, compute and storage hardware, local networking, cloud software, Internet connectivity. Extensive in-house competencies allow us to maintain, optimize and tune every level of the technology stack and provide you with the best possible service.

We build clouds out of standard components that are re-used across our public, private, and hybrid cloud implementations. Customers can benefit from the same functionality regardless of the private, public, or hybrid cloud deployment model. Our components are fully integrated with common authorization and authentication. They communicate and expose their functionality through industry-standard API-s such as libvirt, Openstack, and S3, which facilitates customer workload migration from public clouds such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and prevents vendor lock-in. All the functionality is available through a user-friendly dashboard, Command Line Interface, and standard RESTful APIs, which facilitates automation and allows for the usage of standard libraries and deployment tools such as Terraform, CloudFoundry, Ansible, or Chef.

Our internal team of 70+ hardware specialists, network engineers, cloud experts, systems architects, developers, dev-ops, and systems administrators provides continuous support and development for the platform, their competencies covering our complete technology stack. Our R&D activities are all carried internally, giving us a thorough understanding of the technology we use. Such a strong, competent team allows us to extend and adapt our cloud services to the needs of specific industries or customers.

When data sizes and processing requirements grow, cloud infrastructures require careful design to ensure linear scaling, data redundancy, and systems availability. With our clouds storing and processing tens of PB of data across 4 datacenters in Europe, we have demonstrated our expertise in large scale cost-effective Big Data processing.
